I got my first car just the end of Feb but needed insurance to drive legally, I got quote ~$190 at Esurance so I said why not. (I still went through them despite hearing bad reviews, I just needed insurance to get to work the next day...) Just a couple days ago, I received a call from them saying they're now going to start me ~$460 because when I applied for their insurance I didn't include my annual mileage.
***, because I can't even go to the next page without filling out the boxes in the application with the asterisks on them.
I already paid ~$380 for the initial payment, so I'm finishing the first billing cycle before moving to a different insurance. Such ripoffs.
